How it works
It’s easy to feel like a victim of cancer, to sink into feelings of helplessness. The statistics look overwhelming and the treatment frightening. You can feel friends and loved ones begin to treat you differently as if you no longer existed. After a while, it’s easy to just slip into a downward spiral. Our program was for people who still believe they could fight.
The program included more than 16 hours of group work, a medical intake interview, 9 massages, consultation with a nutrition consultant to set up an individual nutrition program, for one hour individual, couples, or family counseling, and Radix.
Here you will experience the heart and soul of this magical place. We applaud and are deeply grateful for all the cancer groups that have appeared since our lonely, beleaguered start. At the same time, we are saddened that many are skim milk, compared to the experience we created – we the staff and the patients.
Now, straight from the heart of the women who were at the heart of the program, Maggie Creighton and several others who experienced the center first “from the inside,” as patients, Adrianna, and Peggy. They realized the power and importance of our work, did their own self-healing work, then came back to help, making enormous contributions through working with the patients and their caregivers who came to our center.
Our hope is that this program will inspire you with the courage of these patients and that it will provide you with some specific steps you can take, along with a sympathetic health professional if possible, to take charge of your health and your life.
Programs listed at the bottom of this page are specific tools for doing this.
- For people who have been diagnosed with cancer – at any stage or grade, local or metastasized.
- For those serving as caregivers to cancer patients.
- For Health Professionals serving cancer patients.
Important information and Contraindications
Contraindications and Precautions
Although there are really no absolute contraindications for the use of this product, people who are severely psychotic or who do not want to at least try to follow the guidance offered will probably benefit little from listening. Listening is also not a substitute for needed medical care or psychiatric care for serious mental or emotional disturbance. In any undiagnosed potentially serious condition such as a head injury, again, there will not likely be any harm, but it would be wise to delay their use until an adequate diagnosis has been made.
Although no such problems have been reported, people with seizures of any kind, or neurological or with severe neurorespiratory disease, should check with their primary care practitioner for suggestions regarding the use of this program. Likewise, if you are undergoing psychotherapy, share your use of these with your therapist, as he/she may want to integrate this use with your treatment.
And, of course, if you are driving or using equipment that requires your full attention, do not close your eyes and do not listen to any program that you find causes you to become drowsy, distracted, or incapable of functioning safely. Programs designated as “Drivetime” should be used with these precautions in mind.
Because of the wealth of information contained in this program, and because it presents viewpoints that are challenging to the limiting beliefs that so many people harbor, it is suggested that it be viewed on a number of occasions, with no more than a week between successive viewings.
We highly advise using The Cancer Self-Help Manual in conjunction with these DVDs.
The supplementary programs listed below should prove of great value in applying the concepts in your life.
